This quilt is a four block quilt, four large appliqué blocks surrounded by
a matching border. It measures approximately 71"x71".
The exact
quilters are not recorded but it is likely Lydia, her mother and possibly
her grandmother made this quilt. The
feathered wreath and cross hatch stitching is impressive and meticulous.
The fabric used for the vines and leaves in the border are a light
brown color. The vine fabric was likely green when the quilt was made
and faded over the years due to a fugitive dye used to create the original
color.
